Sharjah Airport Authority has reaffirmed its commitment towards travelers and the users of Sharjah International Airport, in an effort to encourage the public to express opinions and provide suggestions in order to improve the facilities and services. “Because We Care…” program for Customer Feedback Questionnaire, was launched by the Authority in January 2009. The year-long program allows travelers and users of the airport to evaluate the services and facilities provided to them, and provide suggestions to improve them. The program, since its inception on 2009, has received great support from the airport management and excellent response from customers and travelers.. Sharjah Airport Authority has implemented many of those proposals through the years. The program is proactively aiming to generate more feedback this year as the airport conducts a comprehensive development study, and some of these ideas could be included in the general plan for implementation.HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, said:” Sharjah Airport Authority has always been keen to launch initiatives and programs aimed at improving the overall performance at Sharjah International Airport in line with its goals to provide the best services and facilities for passengers and airport’s users, to help make the travel experience amazing for all.”He added:”Learning from our customers is the best way possible and there is no better tool to measure ourselves. Based on passenger feedback, we then enhance our services. Passengers are always our priority which is why we introduced the Customer Feedback Questionnaire Program. This will help us gain insights as to what our customers are expecting from us thereby enabling us to adapt quickly and effectively to meet their needs”.On the other hand, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority rewarded on May 21 (Thursday) at the airport’s management building five new passengers who participated in the program, namely: Mr.Saud Ahmad al Hashimi from the United Arab Emirates, Mrs.Sabah Al Saleh from Bahrain, Mr. Ahmad Al Hamdy from Saudi Arabia, Mr. Mohamed Raslan from Syria and Mr. Waleed Al Yaqoub from Kuwait. Each was rewarded with a ticket from Air Arabia.Mr. Donald D`Souza, Director Commercial, Mrs. Alya Al Shamsi, Manager of Marketing and Customer Relations and other officials attended the felicitation ceremony. On this occasion, HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority said he was overwhelmed by the response of travelers and airport users to the program, which is considered to be an important tool and a link between the passengers and airport management. Expressing his sincere appreciation to the participants, he reaffirmed the keenness of the airport management to consider the suggestions that benefits the airport and passengers at the same time.Sharjah Airport Authority selects the winners of the best proposals submitted either through the website of the airport www.sharjahairport.ae or by filling out questionnaires distributed in Arrivals and Departure terminals or using mobile devices which allows some of the airport’s employees to conduct direct interviews with travelers. The winners of the best ideas will be given free tickets from Air Arabia, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. “Because We Care…” program is part of the overall Customer Relationship enhancement concept which the airport strives continually towards enhancing passenger satisfaction and ensuring that their airport experience is a very pleasant one.
