Sharjah, August 5, 2015: A special committee formed under the directive of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah held its first meeting on Monday to study the development and management of Sharjah International Airport’s car parking.HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority chaired the meeting in the presence of members of the committee representing Sharjah Airport Authority, Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah, Sharjah Municipality and Sharjah Police.HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qassimi thanked the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, for initiating the study of the Airport’s car parking to provide the best services to travelers and users of Sharjah International Airport, which is witnessing increase in traffic and passenger numbers.The meeting discussed important topics that aim to guarantee traveler comfort such as parking spaces for cars and buses around the airport’s terminal, as well as ideas that would contribute to the development of services provided to users of the Airport. The Commission has emphasized on the importance of uniting the efforts of the various entities in order to reach the highest level of comfort and safety to customers and users of the Airport services.The committee at the end of its meetings will submit its final recommendations to the Executive Council for the adoption of new procedures to ensure the best solutions to manage the car parking of the Sharjah International Airport.
