To mark Zayed Humanitarian Day, Sharjah International Airport has organized the day before yesterday (Monday) a group Iftar for all its officials and staff from (Sharjah Airport Authority, Department of Civil Aviation, Passport Control, Airport Customs, Airport Police, Sharjah Aviation Services and Air Arabia) in Cargo Area.The event was in celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which is marked on the 19th of Ramadan each year in memory of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority attended the event along with HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority and other senior managers from all participating parties.HE Ali Salim Al Midfa has congratulated the staff on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan and said:” The ‘Zayed Humanitarian Work Day’ initiative reflects the goals of our visionary leadership in helping the needy and poor across the globe. Being helpful and charitable are deep-rooted values of Emiratis. We are following the steps of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who instilled in us the values of humanitarian work, and helping the needy, this event comes as part of efforts to promote the charitable activities carried under this initiative”.On this occasion, HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, thanked Sharjah International Airport’s employees for the significant role they play in providing the best services to Airport’s customers, emphasizing the importance of human capital within the Airport. He also encouraged staff members to continue to put maximum effort into their work, the results of which will be reflected on them and on the whole country’s development.Worth to Note that this initiative is among others that Sharjah International Airport keen to organize in line with its commitments towards staff and society, as part of its CSR program. Zayed Humanitarian Day is to mark the anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Zayed, the founder of the UAE, on the 19th day of Ramadan, 2004.
