Sharjah, Feb 16, 2017: In line with its role to attract local talent, Sharjah Airport Authority is participating in the 19th National Career Exhibition held under the patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, under the umbrella of the Sharjah Government, from February 15 to 17, 2017 at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
The Authority’s participation in the exhibition is part of its ongoing efforts to encourage more UAE nationals into the aviation sector, train them and offer suitable job opportunities to them.
H.E Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, said: “As per our continuous efforts to distinguish ourselves, Sharjah International Airport is always looking at improving its workplace to be the employer of choice for UAE Nationals. We strive to equip fresh graduates and experienced professional with the required knowledge and skills through numerous trainings and career plan”.
He also mentioned that the Sharjah International Airport has been participating in the National Career Exhibition for many years, taking advantage of the networking potential of the exhibition to support the government’s ongoing efforts to boost Emiratization. poining out that the percentage of Emiratization at Sharjah International Airport is around 100% in the top management and 65.9% in general and efforts are ongoing to increase the percentage this year by 4 to 6 per cent.
HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, said:” The event serves as an important recruitment platform that supports our purpose to identify competent Emirati prospects in the job market. The exhibition features ministries and government organizations, banks insurance firms, money exchanges, free zones, financial consultants and recruitment companies, offering Emiratis a variety of job opportunities.
