Sharjah Airport won the “Gold Award” in Government Website Category from the Global Excellence (GX) annual award, which recognizes the best in digital practices according to the highest international standards.

Sharjah Airport won the award besting more than 100 nominees from all over the world, as the airport’s website was distinguished in several criteria that included experience and user interface, design, content, innovation, implementation, public participation, and value-added functions and features.

Utilising the latest innovations in the aviation industry
In line with Sharjah’s smart transformation plan, and in implementation of the national government’s directives on the need to enhance digital services and facilitate procedures for customers, Sharjah Airport Authority is constantly working on employing the latest technological developments in the aviation and travel industries to provide travellers better services and ensure they have a safe and pleasurable experience at the airport.
