In accordance with Zayed Humanitarian Day and in support of the spirit of giving established by UAE Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul), Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) doubled the number of Iftar meals it distributed to commemorate the Day of Zayed. The meal distribution is part of its annual “Your Iftar Is On Us” initiative that was launched several years ago to provide Iftar meals to airport customers and passengers during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

On the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day, SAA also received the “Mosque Building” campaign launched by the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah. In line with SAA’s strategies for social responsibility and to promote effective communication among members of the UAE, these activities and initiatives are a part of the events carried out by SAA in the Year of Zayed, reflecting the spirit of generosity and love that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul) instilled in the hearts of the Emirati people.

Sharjah Airport is also keen to carry out a number of community initiatives that reflect its commitment to hospitality and to welcome visitors of Sharjah and the UAE in an atmosphere commensurate with the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Prior to the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan, SAA decorated Sharjah Airport’s Passenger terminal in traditional Ramadan decorations to embody the essence and spirituality of this Holy Month.
