Completion of all necessary stages to achieve compliance with the required security standards
The obtaining of this certificate came after the Sharjah Airport Authority completed all the necessary stages to achieve compliance with the required security standards, which includes the areas of information security policies followed by the Authority, security risk management, business continuity, information security governance, human resources and operations management, and systems development and protection.
ISO 27001: 2013 certification
The ISO 27001: 2013 certification is one of the most internationally recognized accreditation certificates in information security management. Obtaining it requires following and implementing specific policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the confidentiality and security of information are maintained.
This standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), aims to establish an effective system for managing information security in companies and institutions, through applying a set of standards and conditions that ensure the preservation of information, its confidentiality and integrity, and making it available to the persons concerned with it, in order to achieve business continuity.
The Sharjah Airport Authority has previously obtained several ISO certificates, which are the Quality Management System Certificate 9001-2015, the Environmental Management System Certificate 14001-2015, the Health and Safety Management System Certificate 45001-2018, and the Customer Service Certificate 10002-2018, to achieve customer satisfaction, in addition to many local and international awards that confirm the extent of the development of services in the Authority.
