The Department of Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority commemorated the 52nd UAE Union Day, in the presence of HE Sheikh Khalid Bin Issam Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation , HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority and HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, HE Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Althani, Director of Department of Civil Aviation along with the employees from both sides and officials of the airport’s operators. The event encompassed a wide range of presentations performed by students, various competitions and activities aimed at restoring Emirati traditions and customs, as well as provided different varieties of regional food and beverages.

HE Sheikh Khalid Bin Issam Al Qasimi, said: “On the UAE 52nd Union Day, we recall together the efforts and sacrifices of the founding fathers who laid the foundations of our strong state that has endorsed over the past decades, remarkable achievements that contributed to shape the features of the region’s future”.
HE added: “Sharjah has witnessed tremendous developments during a journey full of great achievements in line with the vision and directions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The civil aviation sector has achieved remarkable progress and rapid growth in the past years, it is moving at steady steps to position Sharjah Airport among the best airports”.

For his part, HE Ali Salim Al Midfa said: “The 52nd Union Day marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s history and legacy. Through this celebration, we acknowledge the exceptional journey of the country, which was made possible by the unity of our people and the vision of wise leadership, that laid the foundations for our success and development.”
“On this day, we reaffirm our continued work to offer high-quality services and reach new heights of innovation and development by leveraging advanced technologies as well as maintaining our adherence to the best standards to ensure a secure and comfortable travel experience for passengers,” he added.

For his part, HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, said: “The UAE was founded on the spirit of cohesion and cooperation. The country’s remarkable achievements in line with its continued growth and development in various fields have been possible due to strong patriotism and made it a preferred global destination. On this occasion, we reaffirm our unwavering support for our country’s vision and its strategic plans for the future, and dedication to maintaining our advancements and leadership across diverse domains.”

HE Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Thani, said: “The UAE has established a unique development model that has helped it progress steadily towards excellence, uniqueness, creativity, and has even taken a distinguished position among developed countries. With the wisdom of its leadership and its ambitious vision, the UAE has achieved this position in the world today; and will continue to lead towards success with the will of the leadership and the efforts of the people.”
