In the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah, His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, received a delegation Sean Greenley and Joseph Giblin from the Political and Economic Section at the US Consulate General in Dubai.

The meeting was held at Sharjah Airport Authority’s headquarters, where the two sides discussed ways of cooperation in areas related to passengers, customers and the aviation industry, in addition to several other issues of mutual interest.

At the beginning of the meeting, HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, welcomed the US delegation, commending the excellent bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. He stressed that Sharjah International Airport welcomes US passenger and cargo airlines, and encourages them to operate at the airport. Al Midfa added that the authority is ready to provide all of the required facilities and services to enable the US airlines to serve their passengers at the airport, which will further strengthen the ties between the UAE and the USA.

Members of the US consulate’s delegation appreciated the cooperation of the Sharjah Airport Authority. They stressed that the US consulate is keen to hold such meetings with the concerned aviation authorities and extended thanks and appreciation to the authority for the facilities offered to passengers and customers who are US Passport holders.
