Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has recently awarded the winners of their customer opinion programme ‘Because We Care’. Since its launch in 2009, this programme has been received with great enthusiasm and remarkable response by customers and passengers. The programme allows them to express their opinions on services and facilities provided to them at the airport and to give suggestions based on their experience. The programme is part of Sharjah International Airport’s (SIA) endeavor to optimise customer experience and ensure excellence in services provided.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Alya Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of Marketing and Customer Relations Dept. at Sharjah International Airport. The winners were awarded with airline tickets sponsored by Air Arabia. The winners are Abdullah Al-Yassi and Saeed Al-Balushi from UAE and Maria Elena from Philippines.

Alya Obaid Al Shamsi said, “Through  ‘Because We Care’ programme, SAA was able to improve the services and facilities provided to customers and travellers through the valuable suggestions and opinions obtained from them over the past years.” Al Shamsi stated that the feedback from passengers is the best way to evaluate performance and enhance customer satisfaction.

Al Shamsi asserted that the objective of the programme is to involve passengers and customers in developing the services. She added, “Customer satisfaction is always our top priority. This programme helps us learn more about the requirements of our passengers and SIA users.”

Sharjah Airport Authority selects the winners with best suggestions submitted via SIA website (www.sharjahairport.ae), through the SHARJAH AIRPORT application, by filling out questionnaires forms available in departure and arrival halls, using the tablets available with SIA staff or via the smartphone application launched by SIA (SHARJAH AIRPORT).
