Sharjah Airport celebrated the 54th Union Day with its passengers through a variety of activities held over two days. The celebration reflected the deep sense of pride in the UAE’s blessed journey of unity, which began on 2 December 1971, a journey that laid the foundations for the comprehensive progress and prosperity enjoyed today under its wise leadership.

The airport building was adorned with national flags, while the terminals and corridors were decorated with ornaments and illuminated displays expressing love for the nation and the unity of its people. These decorations created a joyful atmosphere for travellers, staff and visitors, embodying the spirit of belonging and loyalty that defines the UAE community.

The celebration included interactive activities for passengers and their families, such as the distribution of souvenirs and sweets, as well as traditional performance groups presenting artistic shows that showcased the UAE’s rich heritage. A heritage studio also welcomed visitors, offering them a unique photography experience inspired by the charm of the past. Additionally, a range of competitions and entertainment activities was dedicated to children, adding more joy to the festive ambience. 

Passengers expressed their happiness with the festive activities, which embody the values of unity and loyalty. They affirmed that the comprehensive services, and the seamless, safe travel experience offered by Sharjah Airport reflect its standing as a leading national gateway in the civil aviation sector, contributing to strengthening Sharjah’s position on the global air transport map.
