Sharjah International Airport celebrated the UAE’s 46th National Day with decorations throughout the airport building, including the departure and arrival terminals. Flags hung with pride around the buildings which were also adorned with decorations which were inspired by the spirit of the union to reflect the UAE nation’s pride during the National Day celebrations.
Over a three-day period, 1st-3rd December, Sharjah International Airport Authority also presented gifts, flowers and flags to the passengers in the airport. There were also folk dancing groups, Henna design activities, and people could have their picture taken with a falcon. All these activities reflected the pride taken in UAE history and culture while the children got to enjoy themselves with face painting and other fun events designed especially for them.
All visitors and passengers to the airport expressed their delight at this initiative that helped residents and visitors to learn more about UAE history as well as the ongoing efforts of the wise leadership to achieve prosperity and happiness of locals and residents in the country.
All activities and festive events were aimed at highlighting aspects of UAE history, its traditions, customs and authentic heritage to passengers, whether they be arriving, leaving or just passing through, so that wherever they go, they bring with them some small understanding of the country they were in. Sharjah International Airport takes great pride in being part of the UAE, and welcomes the opportunity to celebrate the union and share the joy with all who pass through the airport, so that they may share their memories and impressions with families and friends all over the world.
