Sharjah, 29 Jan 2017: HE Ali Salim Al Midfa Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority welcomed HE Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Shamsi, deputy director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Sharjah Office. In the presence of HE Sheikh Faisal bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority and Capt. Nasser Al Suwaidi, Branch Manager of Passport Control at Sharjah Airport.
The meeting was held at the Department of Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority building Monday, to discuss ways of strengthening collaboration between the two entities, discuss the latest developments, in addition to facilitating the procedures of diplomatic missions.
HE Ali Salim Al Midfa stressed on the eagerness of Sharjah International Airport to strengthen its relations with all entities to achieve common interests and goals, to provide high quality services for passengers, airport users and diplomatic missions, that reflects the matured image of Sharjah. He pointed out that thousands of passengers travel through the airport every day, which requires various entities to provide their services in an efficient and smooth way.
He expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its efforts to extend bridges of fruitful cooperation and continuous coordination with Sharjah International Airport.
Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Shamsi, deputy director of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry office in Sharjah praised the efforts and hard work of Sharjah Airport Authority that upgraded the provision of services. He also commended the collaboration between the two parties to providing excellent services for diplomats, which contributes towards strengthening the position of the UAE in the list of developed countries.
He said that providing excellent services comes in line with the directives of our wise leadership and is well supported by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. On the other hand, these efforts reflect the keenness of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in giving directions to the provision of best services for passengers arriving and departing through Sharjah International Airport.
