The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) signed a service level memorandum of understanding with the General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Sharjah Airport Police Department, aiming to enhance joint cooperation to identify and develop the level of services and facilities provided to passengers through Sharjah Airport.
The signing ceremony took place at the SAA building and was witnessed by His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of SAA; and a number of senior officials from both parties.
Important step for elevating service levels and their provision standards in areas shared with Sharjah Police
In this context, His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, expressed the SAA’s keenness to commit to adopting joint initiatives and activating memorandums of understanding aimed at continuing to develop travel procedures at Sharjah Airport, ensuring a unique experience for all passengers according to efficiency, effectiveness, and quality targets in line with the highest standards of comfort, ease, and continuity. Signing the MOU represents an important step to enhance the efforts of work teams and relevant departments and the continuity of their roles to elevate service levels and their provision standards in areas shared with Sharjah Police.
His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa emphasized his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between the two parties and through the efforts of the Sharjah Airport Police Department, which reflects positively and effectively in identifying roles and responsibilities and the specifics of the provided services, ensuring compliance with its standards and performance indicators at all stages of travel procedures and providing necessary support effectively and swiftly around the clock, especially during peak times, covering the arrivals and departures area, boarding gates, passenger luggage screening, and the entry and exit gates for employees.

On his part, His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, stated: “The General Command of Sharjah Police seeks to strengthen its partnerships with various governmental and private sector institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah, including the SAA, with the aim of adding value to the services provided to passengers at the airport. Here, the Sharjah Airport Police Department plays a fundamental role in the excellence and success of the services offered by the airport. It is committed to efficiently applying standards and performance indicators, ensuring the presence of qualified personnel at all times to secure the safety of travelers and their luggage, airline crews, and all airport operations smoothly and effectively, with the importance of positive interactions with different segments of passengers.”
