Sharjah, 21 Feb, 2017: Sharjah Airport Authority organized its annual ceremony on the 19th Feb 2017 at Al Jawaher Reception & Convention to honor distinguished employees and entities that have contributed to the achievements and success of Sharjah International Airport during last year.
The ceremony was attended by H.E Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, H.E Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, strategic partner representatives, employees and the higher management of Sharjah Airport Authority.
The ceremony began with the national anthem of the UAE followed by a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran. H.E Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority delivered a welcoming speech in which he praised the efforts of entities working at the airport and the employees of Sharjah Airport Authority who contributed to the many achievements and success of Sharjah International Airport. He also thanked the various media houses that have contributed in highlighting the events and activities in the airport last year, as well as the sponsors of the ceremony.
He said: “We have chosen the name “Al Khair Feekom” for our ceremony as it reflects our trust in you, and what you can do for a bright future of Sharjah International Airport. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE declared this year as “Year of Giving 2017 “, which gives us a stronger reason to start celebrations this year and reinforce our beloved country from its leading role in the charitable and humanitarian work. We will work to launch initiatives in line with that, welcoming any creative ideas”.
He assured that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah are establishing professional standards to raise the level of performance and creating suitable work environments that stimulate innovation and excellence. His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council followed up on this personally to ensure the achievement of excellence in all government departments in Sharjah, and to reflect the renaissance and progress of our beloved country.
H.E Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, said”: Your support and presence here is indicative of the steps we’ve made in the right direction, and of the possibilities of what could be as we continue on this path. All of you here tonight have given Sharjah International Airport a lasting legacy, and I am immensely grateful for your accomplishments and dedication”.
He mentioned that the achievements of last year were added to the record of the authority and highlighted the main achievements of Sharjah International Airport during 2016.
He expressed his gratitude to the employees and partners for their dedication, noting that the close cooperation between all the involved parties plays an important role in maintaining the success of Sharjah International Airport and directing it towards becoming one of the world’s leading international airports.
Later, a video showed the most significant achievements, developments and events that occurred in Sharjah International Airport last year, the program also included a funny play titled “Flight G9 708 “, followed by H.E Ali Salim Al Midfa and H.E Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qasimi awarding the following:
