Conditions on Application for Filming/Photography at Sharjah International Airport
This application must be accompanied by a request letter stating the number of visitors, purpose of photography and visiting date. Please fax your request at least (10) working days (from Sunday to Thursday) before the intended date of photography to: Department of Civil Aviation, Director Operations, Security pass office, Sharjah Airport Authority (fax no. 00971-6-5580089) or e-mail: pass.section@sharjahairport.ae to get the approval.
Applications are subject to the following conditions
Must be aviation related and/or must have direct relation to airport operations
All applications will be considered on a case-by case basis
The photography permit will be issued upon security clearance
After approval of Department of Civil Aviation , you will be duly informed by Security pass office.
Confirmation of date and time of photography, along with other relevant documents should be submitted to Sharjah DCA Pass office at least one day prior to the day intended for photography. Our working hours Sunday - thru - Thursday, 7:30hrs to 15:00hrs..
Administrative charge for the photography permit = AED. 1000/person/day (1USD = AED. 3.67). The charges are inclusive of the Photography Permit, Transportation and Refreshments. If the group size exceeds 10, one entry permit shall be issued free of charges and a special discount of 20% shall be offered.
Approved Photography permits can be collected from Pass Office.
You shall always be escorted by Sharjah DCA Safety staff during the Photography session.
Transportation shall be provided by us.
The maximum number of photographers per group shall not exceed 10.
There shall be two sessions for photography
1st session starting from 8:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs.
2nd session from 14:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs.
During CAT II Operations or Low visibility or during emergency, you may not be permitted to perform photgraphy for security reasons.
Video camera is not allowed in the Airport permises.
It is not allowed to use radio inside the airport.
Applicants are reponsible for their own co-ordination with other parties concerned if photography involves area and premises not under jurisdiction of SAA (e.g. Immigration, customs, Airline counters, shops,etc.)
The issuing of the photography permit will be at the sole discretion of airport management.
