Sharjah Airport Authority Signs a MOU with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services

signs-mouIn line with its commitment towards serving all community members, Sharjah Airport Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS).The Sharjah International Airport offers a variety of services which include all the procedures, this MoU would be supportive to these services and working on developing them, also to add new services.Under the terms of the agreement, Sharjah International Airport will provide a range of services and facilities to those with physical and mental disabilities. This will include providing services to this segment once they arrive to the parking area, allocate specific offices to provide care to those with special needs, in particular the elderly, SAA will also conduct training courses to train the Airport staff on how to deal with them and provide necessary assistant equipment for them. Both parties shall exchange ideas and support of the issues with common interests and arrange regular meetings to exchange views and information to achieve the mutual goals.The signatory ceremony was held yesterday (Sunday) in the Airport Management building in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Jameela Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Vice President of Supreme Council for Family Affairs & Director General of SCHS and H.E Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority. The plan to implement the MoU has been discussed, and they have formed a joint team to distribute the tasks among them in order to start implementing the plan immediately.Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, expressed her sincere appreciation to Sharjah International Airport management , for its efforts and commitment to these people, H.H. also stated that this MOU will support our cause by helping us to pave the way toward a brighter future for persons with disabilities within our society.”H.E. Ali Salim Al Midfa, said:”We look forward to work with SCHS in order to provide support for the people with disabilities in our community, and we hope that this MOU will have positive results to those who mostly need our support. Sharjah International Airport is the gateway of the emirate of Sharjah, and one of our priorities is to provide the best services to all our passengers and users of the airport, of course this segment of society is very important for us. This MOU will enable us to improve the level of services provided to them”.SCHS aims at providing education, care, training and rehabilitation to children and adults with disabilities through its flexible and comprehensive plans and its unyielding strategy. It also aims at providing job opportunities for people with special needs. Considering the fact that their family is the ideal environment for them, SCHS also provides families with guidance and counseling.
