The airport has five Cargo Terminals with a total floor area of 32,000 square metres served by separate cargo aircraft parking positions equipped for handling up to 16 aircraft of different types.

Additional Bonded Warehouses
Forklifts: Forklifts up to 15,000 kgs. capacity are available. Higher capacity forklifts and cranes can be arranged in advance on request, with prior notice and at extra cost.
Cold storage: Cold Storage for small and large shipments is available. Capacity of freezers 100.8 CBM and coolers 151 CBM.
Open area: Open area of total 12000 sq.m. for livestock is available.
Strong Room: A strong room for valuable cargo is available with a capacity of 52.8 CBM.
Area for Dangerous Goods: Available.
ULD Storage: Available
Language on documents should be in English or Arabic.
Note on maximum storage limit for import shipments: All import shipment must be cleared through Customs at the Customs Warehouse. Goods will be kept at the Customs Warehouse for a maximum period of 6 months from the date of arrival. After 6 months it will be auctioned by Customs authorities.
All import shipment must be cleared through customs at the Customs Warehouse. All general cargo consignments can be cleared from the date of arrival within 7 days without paying any storage charges. AED 0.12 per kg per day storage will be charged if cleared after 7 days.
Charges Collect (CC) Consignments: No restrictions on charges collect shipments destined to Sharjah.
Customs Working Hours: 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, including all National holidays and weekends.
Delivery of goods is possible around-the-clock, including National holidays and weekends. Re-forwarding of consignments under custom bond is possible if prior arrangements are made with the airports and airlines concerned.
Live animals, Live Fish, Birds and Horses:
Meat and meat products: Health certificate and Halal slaughter certificate are required.
Food Stuff: All foodstuffs must have production and expiry dates printed on individual package. Click here for Food import requirements
Plants and plant material: Health certificate. Fruits and Vegetables: Official phytosanitary certificate is required.
Arms, ammunitions and explosives: Import permission is required from Ministry of Defense. Minimum 48 hours pre-alert notification is required. Arms and ammunition may not be imported except with a license obtained from the UAE Ministry of Defense.
Narcotics and drugs: A valid license from the Ministry of Health is required.
Pharmaceutical and chemical products: Agricultural pesticides may not be imported except with a license from the Ministry of Agriculture.
Radioactive materials: Import permission is required from Police. Minimum 48 hours pre-alert notification are required.
Alcoholic beverages: Import permit is required. Alcoholic liquors may not be imported except with a licence obtained from the authorities concerned.

Horses: Prior written permission required from the Department of Animal Wealth, Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries.
Prohibitions Arms and ammunitions (also for sporting purposes), Explosives: In case of transhipment, unless consignee first obtains prior Permission from the Ministry of Interior of the respective Emirate, and a License from the Director of Police and Public Security; This will take a considerable time but goods should not be shipped until all these requirements have been met.
Direct service should be used wherever possible.
All goods originating from or destined to Israel.
Transit Charges: No storage for first 7 days, thereafter AED 0.12 per kg per day.
Live Animals Restrictions
Horses: Prior written notification must be given to UAE Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries.
